The Professional Management and Cultivation of The Sport of Darts in Canada

Mission

CPDC recognizes
            that everyone must start somewhere…

At the Youth level 8-18 CPDC promotes and supports all organizations that promote and hold youth darts events and tournaments. By offering incentives for competition in the form of cash, darts shirts, ball caps and entry fees to Canadian Open competitions, CPDC is fostering a new focused interest in the game at the youth level that will lead, one day, to the recognition of the game as a sport here in Canada thereby clearing the way to Olympic competition.

Not every darts player wants to be a pro…

CPDC also recognizes that Darts must reach out even further to the Canadian public to draw awareness to the game as a social function in society. The game is fun and anyone can play. They can play the game anywhere, anytime, and with anyone. Through the corporate introduction of the game into the social order of the workplace, CPDC sponsors corporate and company leagues by offering incentives in the form of darts shirts, ball caps and social gatherings such as charity fund raising events geared to these new grassroots entrants into the game of darts.

House Leagues

The CPDC actively recruits teams from bar leagues, non-profit associations, clubs, military and house leagues. CPDC shows support by offering CPDC logo merchandise, darts shirts, and ball caps as prizes for charity, social and fund raising events. CPDC also assists in the forming of new house (bar) leagues by offering incentives to licensees and team captains.

CPDC Semi-Pro System

Each Region is overseen by CPDC head office in South River, Ontario, and is comprised of four Regional Operating Companies. Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, and West.

Each Regional Operating Company forms relationships with various house, super and premier darts leagues. The Semi-Pro system starts with existing 12 person teams that wish to develop some or all of their talented players for entry into the professional circuit, under the CPDC banner wearing the CPDC and Sponsor’s logo.

This is accomplished by playing 52 weeks a year in CPDC sanctioned premises, competing for CPDC points.

Quarterly Playoff Weekend Tournament Events are scheduled every 90 days for cash and to compete for seeded positions in the Annual Canadian Regional Opens.
